Military operation spreads hatred among masses: Shahid Bugti

ISLAMABAD, March 11, (SANA): Secretary General, Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) has said that military operations in Balochistan spreads hatred among people, we never talked about the disintegration and the people of Balochistan have the right to defend themselves to prevent the war which has been imposed on them.

He held out these remarks while talking to journalists in parliament house here on Saturday.

Referring to Friday’s mine tragedy which claimed 28 lives he said that Bugtis had no link with that blast. He flayed the government for accusing Bugti responsible for the blast.

He said that no one would kill innocent lives and its government conspiracy to blackmail Nawab Akber Bugti.

The government has started Balochistan operation in December 2005 and there had been arrests before the operation. Some people do that for economical purposes but Bugti tribe has no links with such kind of activities, he added.

However he said that neither Nawab Akber Bugti has been fled from the area nor he is ill. He said that whenever para military troops enter into Balochistan, Bugti uses landmines for security reasons and defuse them after their return. Maybe some mines have been left mistakenly but defending himself is the right of every person, he said.

Responding to a question he said that the government never tried to resolve Balochistan issue. The government is not serious about Balochistan issue, the circumstances would not have been worsen if it had been serious towards it, he regretted.
